Are you a visual artist with work that speaks to the heart of New York City? Are you a photographer that knows how to get into the nooks and crannies, to immortalize the moments in-between that fill in the gaps of the whole story? Do you sketch pigeons in the park, or folks across from you on the train? Is your work grandiose or plain? If any of the above holds true, please share your work with us.

The Basics

We will accept visual image submissions in .jpg or .png formats. Any medium of work is acceptable (i.e. photography, painting, graffiti, mixed media, sculpture, etc.) if it can be photographed or scanned and represented visually on the page. We are not interested in lude, or offensive imagery, but we do seek to highlight the gritty side of the city alongside the pretty, so be mindful of that line as you submit your work, please.

Rights & Compensation

NYC English will not be providing monetary compensation for submitted or published work at this stage, however we do hope to put our publication into the hands of thousands of New Yorkers and NYC-curious readers. You will receive all credit for your work and the rights to the work remain yours, while granting NYC English the right to non-exclusively publish your work in digital and print formats, and for marketing and promotional campaigns related to NYC English.
